At this time we plan to have an in person program in 2021. Depending on the status of the COVID-19 pandemic next year, the program could change to a virtual online program.

Application Process
  • The application process includes a brief registration, a written personal statement (500 words or less), a personal photograph, two recommendation letters, and a Curriculum Vitae (CV).
  • Students should apply as early as possible as the details for completing their applications are included within the application process.
  • Students may revise their applications until February 10, 2021.
  • All students in the summer program are expected to attend each day for the entire time that they are enrolled in the program. Note that some medical school calendars may conflict with the scheduled dates of our program. In these cases, allowances can be made for affected students to begin later or to complete the program earlier(students may explain in the general comments section of Application: Part I).

Eligibility Requirements
  • All first year medical students in good standing at US or US territory medical schools are invited to apply.
  • It is expected that all accepted CUPID fellows will have demonstrated some prior interest in health care disparities and/or commitment caring for the underserved.
  • Applicants should carefully consider their personal schedules, as no time for vacation is scheduled during fellowship period.
  • Prior laboratory experience will be helpful, but is not required.
